Dear Paul,
I found this site while searching cycling +heart attack. A year ago I suffered a heart attack, something that astonished everyone as I've always been very active and fit, with no obvious risk factors (sneaky genetics). During the past year I've resumed hiking, running, cycling, everything I did before at about the same level, but I've always had reservations about resuming high-intensity training. Therefore I was very interesting in your post, and I would like to hear about your experiences in the past year.
Best wishes, Bob

Hello Again Paul,

I forgot to mention in my previous comment. I have been wanting to start a section in my website where I interview people who have made a successful comeback from a cardiac episode. Would you be will to do an interview for me?

Thanks,

Eric

Hi Paul,

I just came across your site. Congratulations on your great stress test results and the fact that you are still out there riding and pushing yourself!

As a life long cyclist (& surfer, snowboarder, jogger) I had a heart attack at age 36, now 42. I have had 7 stents, 6 due to restinosis. I know what your going through. Stories like your are very inspirational to me an many others I'm sure. While racing isn't not a goal of mine doing 3-4 hour 6000'+ rides are. Until a sinus infection 2 weeks ago sidelined me I was up to 2.5 hour/3000' rides. I hope to be riding again in another week.

If you have a moment you might want to check out my forum www.keepriding.org. I started if for cyclists with cardiac issues. It would be great if you would post your story and success and recovery.

Keep up the good work and I wish you many more years of health and cycling!
